Ayers Fire Station

The Town of Ayer asked Winter Street to design a state of the art, 16,500 square foot, $3.4 million headquarters station on a challenging downtown site. The site challenges include dramatic grade changes, hazardous materials remediation, wetlands protection, and improvement to a failed intersection.  The program called for accommodations for fire fighters of both genders, fire prevention and decontamination functions as well as a training rooms, apparatus and Fire Department administration areas.
